Infrastructure Restructure for Clean Energy
The HyNet North West project aims to tackle carbon emissions with an ambitious new energy project using Hydrogen. Creating new infrastructure at scale, they hope to decarbonise industry, transport and homes across the North West and North Wales. Not just reducing carbon emissions by replacing fossil fuels, the project aims to capture and store carbon dioxide produced by energy intensive industries. While this project will drastically cut carbon emissions and improve local air quality, this clean energy requires cutting edge technology so implementation takes serious time and investment. Currently HyNet is envisioned for 2050 but with the right investment it should have reduced carbon emissions by 10 million tonnes a year by 2030.
